Welcome to my Bobbin Lace Page!

I started making bobbin lace in the fall of 1985. I learned from a woman in Great Falls, MT after watching her make lace at the State Fair. Since then, I have taken classes at two IOL conventions and from teachers our local lace group, Prairie Rose Lacemakers, has brought in for workshops. Some of these teachers are: Holly Van Sciver-- Honiton, Russian Tape, Buckspoint, and Bedfordshire; Louise Colgan--Bedfordshire; Sheila Wells--Honiton; Skip Diamond--Italian Tape; Marni Harang--Milanese, Flanders, and Schneeburg; Judy Aycock--Buckspoint and Floral Torchon. Of all of these laces, Bedfordshire is by far my favorite. Our group has been fortunate to bring in so many lace teachers with help in the form of grants from Dakota West Arts Council and North Dakota Council on the Arts. I have also taught beginning lace making for about 13 years and have been able to teach several students through NDCA and their Apprenticeship Program. Here is some of the lace I have made:
